Poutine was really good but hot dog was overpriced and quite small.

Excellent place to go eat! The service is very nice, and the meal orders are always perfect, at least for me, and I've been there a lot of times. It's always pretty clean, and the WiFi is very reliable. I strongly recommend that place.

The taste of Québécois's soul food or specialities, poutine avec saucisse is exactly the same as the looking, the same as I expected as well but it is really nice.Then, why doesn't the US have this cheap easy variation of French fries?It might be because the US doesn't want to admit Canadian food.But I say again, it is nice.

What you would expect looking from the outside. However, was recommanded the place as a QC must try so we went anyway. Glad we decided to share just one. Quality is very low (ie like all other North American fast food chain) with soaky fries, tasteless curds and way too salty gravy

"Well deserved one star!!!" Place is small, usually crowded, especially late in the evening, since every drunk people are looking for something to eat like starving zombies. They also serve small size beverage filled with ice, be prepared to have no refill too. Prices are way too expensive for this kind of food. Employees seem to hate their lives. Everything you don't want in a fast food! I definitely don't recommend "Chez Ashton" !

Dulton poutine was good, taste as well as quantity wise

After about a week of touring Quebec city and Montreal, me and my partner tried a total of 6 renown poutines. We found the poutine here to be the best one by far! The cheese curds were unlike any other poutine I've ever eaten. Must-stop place to go in Quebec. The only downside to the experience was the location was a little sketchy

The most overrated poutine in the province. Don't believe the hype: you've probably tasted better elsewhere, only locals like it. Not disgusting per se but not worth the praise it gets. Service is ok and place is small.

Stopped here because we had been walking all day and needed a break and a quick bite. Chez Ashton did the trick. We ordered two regular poutines and they did not disappoint. The gravy was rich and flavorful and the fries were crisp, fresh and golden. it was fast food style, and the restaurant itself is not very charming, but what do expect for a fast food chain. i would go here again in a pinch.

Greasy and fast food that fills a need after a late night. A good place to go to if you need a quick bite. Don't expect anything upscale.Passes the cheese-squeaking poutine test.

Ashton is a institution in Quebec for Poutine. They offer the simple, traditionnal poutine, the base of all poutine. And its really good. Doesnt need to be fancy. Its just good

My first visit to Chez Ashton and I was not dissapointed. The food was good and ready quickly. Had to try the Les Frites Et Poutines! It’s a Quebec original. Friendly staff, good food, good time with friends.

One of the best Poutines in Quebec. I don't know if the cheese should melt or not, but the cheese didn't melt in my order. Maybe the gravy wasn't hot enough! The place is very clean, and the staff were really friendly. Definitely I will come back for one of the best poutines in Quebec if not Canada!

Poutine there is delicious

What you expect of a standard but perfect plate of poutine. Quality, fresh and squeaky cheese curds. Crispy double fried French fries. Meaty thick and hot gravy. All of which are perfectly proportioned to each other.

Poutine is ok

I usually don't review fast food restos but as a resident of Québec I have to admit I like Chez Ashton - although not everything on their menu. Since I prefer not to criticize the places I review, I will speak only of what I think is quite good - the Ashton Burger. It's inexpensive, it's ample, and I think it's pretty good for a fast-food burger. If you're in Québec and looking for something quick and easy, and you're tired of that "other" fast-food hamburger place, give Ashton a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
